Welcome to the home of "Middle Earth University", an ongoing alternate universe (AU) fanfiction series.  MEU follows the adventures of J.R.R. Tolkien's familiar characters from Lord of the Rings on their quest for higher education.  Our intention with MEU is to explore both Tolkien's characters and college life in a fun, irreverent way. Disclaimer: We do not own Tolkien's characters, Lord of the Rings, or any other products or trademarks referred to in these stories.  The authors are simply fans who enjoy writing for fun and feedback.   No copyright infringement is intended or inferred.  This is fiction.  We made it up. Note: In the MEUniverse, some of the characters are involved in same-sex relationships.  Many of the stories contain hobbit snuggles and other relatively tame forms of PDA; these stories will NOT be given a slash warning.  However, some stories go beyond snuggling and contain sexual content; these will be clearly marked as "Slash."
